This is like the Death Metal equivalent of a 2011 Post Rock review

With you on this but the whole time I felt like you were trying to establish credibility in a negative and immature way that doesn't really make me take what you say seriously. Being a death metal curmudgeon doesn't give you any added authority on the subject.

Sounds weird

Nothing worse than a review from a person who has to start off with "X genre sucks but..." or "Normally sub genre X isn't something I listen to but in this case...". Fuck that and fuck you. I want to read reviews from people who love the genre in question unequivocally, not someone who has to arrogantly posture themselves as better than the genre to give the review "impact" or whatever. Terrible review, please never write again.
