sadly, no haha. I actually read Hyperion (BEST BOOK EVER) like a week before this came out, so I just HAD to check it out, just because of the name. it didn't disappoint, great melodic black/death metal album, lots of awesome riffs, it's just not particularly original.

I thought about that too, and as much as it could turn out awesome, I'd rather leave it untouched. they could maybe even take one of the characters' stories and turn it into a standalone movie, some of them are just amazing.

I guess this isn't as ridiculous as Insomnium being Opeth ripoff but this is still a stretch of a take.
Sure the riffwork takes from Dissection some but this is a lot more grandiose and symphonic imo
