'If you want a standard rundown of what these songs sound like, turn on the radio. Not because you'll probably hear "Closer" (although you probably will hear "Closer"), but because The Chainsmokers are nearly indistinguishable from Calvin Harris, Avicii, Martin Garrix, David Guetta, Armin van Buuren, or whatever European DJ is 'fleek' at the time.'

still possibly the most retarded thing i've read in a while

and lol at people taking #Selfie seriously, or assuming that people who enjoyed it didn't get it was a joke, literally everyone knew it was a joke, the amount of misinformation for genres none of you know anything about is amazing

anyway as far as this EP goes, Closer is pretty terrible, rest are ok, they go alright in the club tbh, although these guys have this huge problem where they create these lovely buildups and then go into a really anti-climactic and boring drop/break, last ep was better

waiting for more of the remixes to come in because remixes of their stuff tend to have a few gems

'A shit joke song is still a shit song dumbo'

not even arguing that so try reading what i said, which was that it was not a 'serious song' by the producers, and secondly that people who enjoyed the song (myself included actually, i dig a lot of melbourne bounce and it had a nice energy even if it was deliberately generic) knew it was a joke anyway, nothing to do with the quality of the track.

Really though I swear whenever people review this kind of music they ignore the fact that the tracks are intended for clubs and festivals, not a serious listening experience - you need to factor in it's purpose, I'm not gonna review a metal album based on how the tracks sound in a dingy nightclub

I know quite a few people who took #SELFIE seriously.

Also a lot of this album sounds like a dup struggling with trying to have some sophisticated identity why making basic ass vanilla club hits. Which both come together to create something incredibly boring in the long run.
