Great review, couple problem spots here and their but nothing worth copy/pasting. Will avoid this.

Fix the first sentence of paragraph 2. It says Blink 182, not Good Charlotte.

@gordodustin It's supposed to say Blink-182, he's comparing their comeback record to Good Charlotte's.

Sometimes I wonder what people expect from bands like Blink-182 and Good Charlotte at this point in their careers. They're pretty much damned if they do and damned if they don't. They're too old to really do yet another 'angsty heartbroken teen in love' album, but don't really have the talent to branch out much beyond what they've already done. Pretty much their only chance is to cater to the mainstream pop rock crowds, which is what both bands have done, and neither of the albums are really bad... they're just not the 'classic' sound that people seem to think will ever make a legit comeback.

I'd have to consider you my peer in order for peer pressure to work. The 3 stays. It's a good album.

To be fair I haven't heard this. Their oldest stuff was decent and for some reason I liked Good Morning Revival. I think what you said is true, but there are many better bands vying for that same mainstream pop-rock crowd who do it so much better. And no, I don't mean Yellowcard [although they apply]. But yeah, that takes nothing away from this album as a stand-alone piece.

Did I say nice? I meant ruthless.

Pretty much my point. I try my best to take albums on a case-by-case basis. It's obviously easier to do with bands like this that I really don't care all that much about than with bands that I really like.

I think this is better than Cardiology. Could be because "Life Changes" chorus is massive and just is a genuine pop/punk song.
