Logic Of A Dream is so good it really reminds me of Swans. I hope they focus on that style more.

Only listened to this twice, but it doesn't seem to hit me like Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place or All Of A Sudden, I Miss Everyone. That said, I'm glad they kinda changed things up.

I love the fuck out of this album. I feel like it drags in a few select spots... Losing the Light particularly, but even that track serves it's purpose as a breather.

Certain parts from Logic of a Dream remind me of Trent Reznor's and Atticus RossĀ“ movie soundtracks.

I am so pumped to see these guys live, it's been about 5 years since I saw them last, and that show was amazing. Plus the Antlers opened for them, so it was even better.

Pleasant surprise to see Explosions innovate, looking forward to hearing this

I haven't listened to EITS's complete discography, but I just cannot get in to this album. For me it lacks the emotion and soul that "Those Who Tell..." had. That album literally had "explosions" in its music, or sudden outbursts of beautiful instrumentation, and it really suited the band's actual name very well.
"Disintegration Anxiety" was really the only song I thoroughly enjoyed and have continued to replay. "Infinite Orbit" would have been a favorite if the build up's payoff wasn't so short lived. "Tangle Formations" was another pretty good song, but the rest were... well to put it lightly: hella average.

I don't know how I feel about this. I like it, just not sure how much. I wasn't too big on the electronic base of the first two songs. I've only listened to the whole thing in sequence once, though.

This album is right up there with The Jezabels, Weezer, O'Brother, M83, Bowie, Steven Wilson, The 1975...so many 4-4.5 type albums already this year it's nuts

I think the concept they were going for with the idea of the wilderness works pretty well, they were trying to create a work as sprawling and random as nature, primal in some parts, beautiful in others, and I definitely hear that here.
At least, I think that's what their idea was. I could be over analyzing.

No I think that's a pretty damn spot-on analysis

Agreed, reminds me of the concept for The King of Limbs by Radiohead

I actually like the drumming on here...may not be the most complicated sets but they fit the atmosphere perfectly.

Yeah I don't see what issue there is with the drums on this, I actually really like them.
