Nirvana sounded their best when they weren't backed up by all the bells, whistles, and gimmicks of grunge music. Thats for sure.

In Utero and MTV Unplugged should be more than enough proof that Nirvana or Kurt Cobain are not overrated.

Well, least the movie kicked ass. Shame about this, though...

Fuck the record company for pissing all over the grave of this guy. I'm not even a huge fan, but this is still completely classless.

The fact that this exists disgusts me

I honestly believe MTV Unplugged in New York to be the best Nirvana recording.[2]

This probably sucks balls and it is pretty voyeuristic, but it's not like Kurt could still give a damn. He's lying in a coffin somewhere, even the most idiotic cash grab won't do anything to him anymore.

I refuse to see the film because it goes completely against my principles, same rules apply for this grave robbing of an album
|
| |
oh, that's ok then Kris you Loon.
|

Not saying it's ok. Of course it sucks and shows some strange moral standards. But it happens all the time and usually no one cares in the slightest. For example Kafka asked for almost everything he's written - including The Trial - to be destroyed or at least not published after his death and it obviously didn't happen. Actually even more of a violation, since he gave clear instructions what he wanted to be done. Still everyone reads his stuff and doesn't care about what that means, some are even defending its publication.

PROJECTILE VOMITING

the sound of Kurt's home demos that he would be embarrased about if they ever saw the light of day while he was alive apparently warrants a £10 purchase or more if you're a real fan and splash out on the super duper ultra special limited deluxe edition where you can hear him shitting himself after a skag hit.

feel like kurt would hate courtney for doing this
like a lot

More than he probably already did
but hey he's dead, so it's fine!
|

Yeah he doesn't mind, he's lying in a coffin somewhere anyway.
Sorry Kris, I don't mean to drag you down, you're a bud and all. It's just that what you said just came out wrong.

Let me rephrase it. It's ethically disgusting from whatever angle you look at it. But at least he can't care about it anymore. That IS a practical difference, at least for me. I think it's marginaly less shitty to betray someone than betraying someone and hurting them with it.
I'd have a bigger problem with it, if it would have been released against his wishes while he was still alive, just cause of some contractual loophole or something like that, and he'd have had to deal with that crap.
