no no I get you
but like

sometimes you just don't like stuff without any real solid reason that you can recognise

don't worry about it. i didn't like their debut as much as most people, their next was better, this is really something

but i've tried that before with bands i knew i should like, but they just didn't click. walk away and come back again and eventually it will click (or not, but that's ok too)

I don't get their first two records but this one is pretty good and the mixing doesn't make my brain explode so that's a plus.

I don't know about this release. Some tracks like On My Fingers or How Many just don't seem to come together. Others (The Lord's Favourite, Let It Vanish, etc.) do.

Yeah I mean obviously they come together for others, just not me. Perhaps fifth spin's the charm?

I think for me most songs on the album that I don't like too much are the ones with restless, boiling verses that blow up into a chaotic chorus like in the tracks I mentioned and Stay and so on, which amount to quite a chunk of the album. On paper the formula sounds nice, but the only time it really works for me is Glassy Eyed, Dormant and Veiled.

This is everything I was hoping for and more, Plowing compares with You're Nothing like rhum+whisky with vodka but the flavors can't be denied
