There's only really Diver Down and 1984. Hagar era is a completely different band. TBH I grew up in the Hagar era and thought I liked it more. Then I was reintroduced to the Roth era and I really can't even listen to Hagar anymore for the most part.

could never listen to the Van HAger era, too 80's sounding, although the Without a Net video from really early in the Hagar era is pretty good, but the albums are not as good as the Dave era

There are some great songs from the Hagar era, but it's difficult to enjoy right after having heard anything from the Roth era. It just comes off as a bit...milquetoast.

Lol. I've tried a couple of times. I mean, the songs aren't great, but even if they were the production on that thing is such a mess it'd be impossible to tell.

If you listen to their discography backwards this band has a massive sophomore slump but picks things back up and REALLY peaks by their seventh album.

I wouldn't call it the best. It's my favourite, but VH1 and 1984 have the edge in terms of songs. Unchained is the best VH song ever tho.

Yeah there's not a single remotely weak track on 1984.

Yeah, I'll Wait is probably my favourite VH solo.
