I'd say "The Mixture" is the most djenty one.

Gus's vocals are kind of irritating though I find.

The Mixture is def the djent track to go to if you're looking for some good ol' Volumes djent. the second track thats named something like 91342542543343 is awesome as well as far as djent goes and in general. + it's sounds so much like something Meshuggah would make that it's even more awesome that they did it. lol

I just read the lyrics to that song and i'm not pleased.
That might be taken with tongue in cheek after you've read it yourself, btw. Try it.
Btw don't try it, it just made me reconsider how seriously i take them.

yea i never read lyrics for modern metalcore just makes me like it less
funny that they started the whole lyric video trend when the content is always atrocious

They started it? hmm
Yea but man, VIA at least had some deeper meaningful lyrics. Not saying well written but still better all around imo.
And there are some good lyrics on Metalcore even these days. Try The Devil Wears Prada, i still like their lyrics.
|
| |
nah i meant metalcore bands in general i dunno which specific band made it popular
agreed on devil wears prada but i was mostly referring to the newer bands like capture the crown, for all those sleeping, etc

Ah i see Diamond. Yeah true, most of the bands that helped bring this whole lyric video thing to surface have awful lyrics

Damn the production on this is like one massive punch in the ear

@fti yeah this doesn't seem like your cup of tea haha.
Definitely check out the highlights at least; they're really enjoyable.

Signal, had no idea you reviewed this. POS.

Erased was ok, I dug the first instrumental bit + the verse. the vocals are performed very well, but sounds a little bit too much like an Idol contender for my liking. the breakdown at like 1:30 or something is bloody atrocious though. cringy as fvck.
