This is a great album. I saw the Flips in Detroit along with Sonic Youth. It was AMAZING.

I kind of regret getting this after seeing how many people think it's not too good.

I'm just listening to this. The first two songs are absolutely horrible. I might not listen to it all the way through.

Listen to it before deciding. This Message Edited On 05.30.07

I think that Yeah Yeah Yeah would be a lot better if they didn't stop and say; Yeah Yeah Yeah.
I haven't yet gotten through this. And I've tried.

Cosmic sounds, cool guitar, piano, i think this is a good album, the best song The Sound of Failure, amazing!

I really enjoy this album, even though I like Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots better, but this is a good review, although I did like the Yeah Yeah Yeah song. hmmm.... great review though.

I've learned to kind of like the yeah yeah yeah's in the opener, but i maintain it would be better without them. The album's great, but it sounds like it could have been much better.

I love the yeah yeah yeah's in the opener. I agree though, this isn't as good as Yoshimi or even Bulletin but yeah it still pwns. It's just a tad more mainstream poppy sounding than their other efforts.
And the cover art is awesome (note: avatar).

The Yeah Yeah Yeah Song (In Anatropous Reflex) is exactly how the song should be done. It's the version I've wanted to hear ever since I first listened to the cd version.

I think this is better than Yoshimi because Yoshimi had a few stellar tracks but was really a great album at best. This album I think is more solid.
Of course neither of them hold a candle to The Soft Bulletin.

^ sadly, nothing ever will (probably).
I do like Yoshimi better than this though. "Are you a hypnotist??" is one of their best songs: Sickest drums they've ever recorded. "In the Morning of the Magicians" is awesomely trippy, and "Do You Realize" is amazing.

Besides the 'yeah yeah yeah' calls constantly, the first song is pretty solid. Definitely a solid album but it's true, it's no Yoshimi or Soft Bulletin. It's definitely no Embryonic, which is beyond ridiculously good

I must say though, that this is a grower. Each time I go through it I dig it a tad more

Not a huge fan of this album. It's good and I enjoy a listen from time to time but I've been getting into them lately and this just isn't nearly as good as some of their other stuff.
