No Hope for the Human Race is actually kinda catchy, but vocals are gross.

As I Am Exploding has some pretty good riffs, but again, vocals kinda stink.

And the Misfits cover just sucks overall.

I have listened to the album now for a couple weeks and it is definitely growing on me. Not worth 2.9 IMO. The solo's are some of - or the most difficult and complex in their catalog. The first 4 songs are actually good.

Trivium - "Hey guys! Hope you like this new album! There are no solos, catchy choruses galore in the songs and they're all in D flat! We put little to no effort into making decent songs and just put out the most repetitive drivel"

You definitely made some excellent points about many music listeners in the last two paragraphs.

"We are all too often overprivileged by our access to "all of the music" these days and, due to our knowledge of 18 different records released this year which are worthy of the elusive "5/5," we discount good, solid music as "*** tier," "too mainstream," and whatever stupid and baselessly homophobic or racial slur is rotating around the basement network of elitist neckbeards with too much time on their hands to masturbate and listen to the ultra-super-duper-quadruple-fx-HD mix of Lulu. But we could all be better than that."

(Will never get over that paragraph XD)

Trivium is one of a long list of bands that, when first arriving on the scene, sputnikers enjoyed. Then they looked around, saw other people enjoying it, and started proclaiming "I don't trash them because they're popular, I trash them because they're awful!" (see - Periphery) Somehow, becoming awful and popular happened simultaneously.

Also, I can't tell you how many times I've asked the people who say "all their riffs are stolen" to give me examples, yet to receive a response. Oh, they hit 4 open D's in a riff, well, it aint like they Dani California'd it.
