Loved AoB; it's funny cuz matt completely shits on that album, but Truffle Pigs is one of the best songs he's written.



Beautiful Midnight and according to my ratings for the solo albums, it's a tie between Avalanche and Lights of Endangered

Going to see AND meet this guy in Saskatoon tonite. Very stoked.

These songs aren't so good live... or maybe it was cause of the venue and Matt just didn't seem stoked tonight

and for his best! its easily Beautiful midnight and Avalanche

and this coming from a guy who saw him/them for the 8th time tonight

thats odd. this seems like it would translate the best live out of pretty much all his albums since White Light

I enjoyed a fair amount of the new songs live. "Arrows of Desire" though was slightly weak. I think it's cuz he's supposedly ill at the moment. His voice was a bit soft for specific songs, including that one. Other than that, Had It Coming, Garden of Knives, So Close, and Letters In Wartime were all solid.

Dude just released a new album today. WOOP. It's pretty great upon first listen. Totally backloaded though I think... first four tracks were standard MG affair while the back end was pretty attention-grabbing.
