I've given this like three spins so far and I still like it but agree about the song blending and
there is no song like Frozen or Drowning/sinking on here. However I still really enjoy the sound they
have despite that they didn't execute it as well this time around but I gave B&C a 5 so I didn't
expect them to top it. Probably gonna give this a 4. Fantastic review though.

I totally, 100% agree with this review. Such a disappointment. The album is full of monotonous and
meandering cleans. Blessed & Cursed had some of the best tracks of 2009(IMO) because they meshed all
their traits so well. This just shows me how pretentious the band have become.
Also, not a fan of the production.

Why would anyone respond to an arrogant comment like this? I'm glad you wont be giving this a listen because you probably would pollute this tread.

Debut A Fragile Hop was a dark, claustrophobic record
All about emotionally scarred bunnies?
Devil Sold His Soul have released what is, overall, less varied and boring music than they are used to
It's less boring?

It Rains Down is another track on this that is pretty damn good. It's kind of B&C-esque.

I really don't agree with this review... The album is a hell of a lot more varied than previous albums and is extremely dynamic. The Disappointment and The Weight of Faith were the weak points to B&C because they were heavy but lacked depth. However on this album the heavier tracks - Sorrow Plagues, Time and Pressure, have so much more going for them than those tracks... Drowning/Sinking is one of my favourite DSHS tracks, but It Rains Down and Crusader come very close.. A Foreboding Sky has nothing on The Verge and the only track which i find skipping is "Salvation lies within". I think they have upped their game on all levels and i'm a huge fan of their previous work. Credit should be given when deserved.. but thats just my opinion.

The Disappointment is one of their simpler songs but I found it worked well. The riff was great, as were the screams and it had that synth in the background that harmonised with the rest of the music really well to give a great atmosphere. Interesting to hear someone think they've stepped up from before but I really can't hear it myself. I could easily distinguish the songs on B&C but here I have much more trouble

OmahaStylee was just echoing my first sentiment. You spelt Hope without the "e", hence my comment about Bunnies.
