This album's overall rating is a joke. Sputnikers who gave this a 3.5 or lower need to go
back to
YouTube and listen to more of their crappy King Crimson, Camel and Jethro Tull.
an average of 4 is probably one of the highest ratings an album on this website can ask for
listening again, my thoughts are that this might be a decent enough jazz record if it were purely
instrumental but the spoken word parts are dorky as fuck and smack of coffee house intellectuals who
like to smoke reefer thinking they are making some bold artistic statement about the human condition
yeah, pretentious is a good word to use here
|
| |
well I kinda hope that happens cause I really don't think this album is a masterpiece and is largely only experiencing a surge in interest cause it is jazz and it managed to find its way to the top of the RYM charts.
but i'm not too worried about what others on here think as long as they don't accuse me of being a King Crimson, Camel and Jethro Tull fan, God Forbid
|
| |
well, I can respect that
unfortunately, i'm just not feeling this. but I shall agree to disagree and leave this thread
|
| |
been meaning to get this
|
| |
sounds pretty cool might get it

i'm pretty sure every album with any vision has been called pretentious on sputnik. you'd have to have quite a while to find an album not described as either 'generic' or 'pretentious' on here
at this point i can pretty much gauge how much i will like something by the amount of times it's called pretentious on sputnik.

I'll check this out later today. Excited.
Has anybody been listening to Austin Peralta's Endless Planets?
|
| |
the songs with skramz are the best

love at first listen f'real. AOTY is a stretch though, meatplow's coffee-house intellectuals comment kind of kills this.
