Up till LDaTM they were up there, but yeah Wasteland was a let down. I get it though, given the circumastances.

@Myth: Yeah man, Piotr's absence is really felt on Wasteland. Still haven't checked it out properly. I don't really enjoy the guitar tone on it, seems too unpolished
This still rules. Jamming after a while

Agreed with all of the above. Time Machine was awesome, I really liked Soundscape too. This is their peak though, incredible record. Of course the oldies rule too, yet they're a little less consistent for me.

I don't know how they did it, but they managed to offer new material in all the sense of the word: it was really new to their sound. Less atmosphere - all though still there - more direct approach. ADHD and SONGS (plus the EP in between) seem like an entity on their own, a stylistic shift, a reinvention of some sorts.

is this better than tormentor's anno domini

@Trif: Agreed, I still enjoy most songs off LFATM, and Soundscape has some cool moody tracks, especially love Shine and Where the River Flows. And I have the same issue with their first 3 albums. All are great, but there are some forgettable moments sprinkled around. Not on this one though
@Myth: Agreed, I think ADHD is stylistically their most unique, and an album that is refreshing for prog metal esp. SONGS is also stylistically different, but it's nothing really revolutionary. Feels safe, but it's still enjoyable. I'd say ADHD and LFATM are probably the band's most "fun" albums
@park: Never heard it, but given my rating I'd probably say so

i recommend it, but their previous one is even better tbh

Need to think over all the albums in the era, but this is definitely HIGH up there. Hard to disagree

Some of their previous albums have this acronym thingy (OOM, REM and afterwards SONGS) so I think yes.

I know riiiiight. Why doesn't Mariusz fiddle with effects as much as he used to?
There isn't one bad riff on this album. All the melodies are fantastic, the musicianship is their best. They just all clicked perfectly for this one

Indeed. And the drummer hasn't been as interesting since then. Also, I thnik Mariusz is too much responsible for the music on Wasteland and he has a tendency for melodrama
