First listen i thought it was fucking awful, but i really like it now.

Remember its only pre-production though, so its meant to sound like shit.

How the heck do these guys have such a large following with only one EP? They must tour like a motherfucker

On a side note, the new Doxa didn't really do anything for me on first listen.

Ah, right. I'm going to check them out. I thought Doxa was sick, that's some insanely percussive guitar playing.

I think it's more the weirdness factor of hearing new vocals and lyrics over the song when I'd gotten used to Neema/Greg's work, but Browne and Swannie are fucking awesome.



I quite like Fellsilent, and that's how I came across Monuments at any rate. Check out "Immerse"; it's pretty much Fellsilent in a microcosm.

Gnosis is album of the year, just quietly

It's pretty good, definitely up there, probably not AOTY for me but great nonetheless. It's just a bit short and I hate the vocals on Admit Defeat, which was one of the best metal tracks I'd heard in a while. Matt Rose can get into a whiny, generic groove sometimes but ftmp he's got an insane scream. You should review it Billy.

Yeah, a few albums beat Gnosis for me. That said, it was one of the few metal albums I was excited for this year.



Regardless, when I listen to the album, I just can't help but wonder how it would've sounded with Neema and Greg on it. I think Doxa is probably my favourite track, but I still can't get used to Matt on Admit Defeat.

It occurred to me earlier today how much more unique this would sound with Neema and Greg. Oh well, the lyrics on this are great, though.
