mmm I'm a huge fan of Homecoming and Letterbomb and Whatsername and American Idiot.

Dookie has Longview and Basket Case and Welcome To Paradise and She.... but the consistency on Dookie is far less than American Idiot.

No way, it's all about Insomniac. There isn't a bad song, probably one of my favorite pop-punk albums of all time.

This album is weak, it may be a "punk rock opera" but that doesn't make it good. I think that there are no good songs, and I liked "Holiday" before it is played every five minutes on every radio station. I just don't see what makes this album so great, Green Day lost there pop-punk sound they had in the 90's.

True, it's cliche to be against the government (But really, whats rockin about bein "Bush is the best?" "Rock On NYC, and rock on with Bush!" (made up rock star gets shot)), but even so Green Day has become the voice of the working class, and are the only band with the power to actually change people's views on the world. A conservative friend of mine listened to this album, thought about what it meant, and that made him question his beliefs. After some conversation with me, a dirty rotten liberal, he realized that the war is wrong. If Green Day has the power to change the minds of people, then that says something about them. They are the most influential band in the world today, being the most popular and the band with enough balls to take a stand. Have a Nice Fuckin Day.

it doesn't take any balls to write a political album, and AI isn't that political really. Something like say, Manic Street Preacher's The Holy Bible would take a lot of balls to release on such a mainstream level [/whoring album]

Green Day are the voice of disgruntled teenagers who can't think for themselves.

Not of the 'working class'.

At least Green Day is the only mainstream band with enough balls to take a political stance and not care what the backlash is.

Agreeing with Kripes. Even to have a murmur of a stance is better than nothing

My rating has gone from a 4 to a 2.5 in less than a year. "Jesus of Suburbia", "Letterbomb", and "Whatsername" are probably the best song on here, and the rest are okay. The video for "St. Jimmy" sucks.

So what you're saying is that you pretty much agree with my review more now than with your old one? Since I said the best tracks are Whatsername, Letterbomb, and JoS.

It's live concert footage. It's the first single for Bullet in a Bible.

this albums alright. some catchy songs, a lil' ingenuity here and there but nothing special. the "political stand" is as rebellious as Tony Hawk's Underground. plus, the songs lose their interest after repeated listens.
