I was very surprised pinkblackberry... Well I was just in a dream world hoping they would go more metal tbh. But still I expected a heavier album than this.

I liked it more the 2nd/3rd play through than the first. I wanted to give it a 2.5 at best on my first listen but its grown a bit. The blues, red eyes, delete rewind, and an open letter to myself are too good for a 2.5 in my mind. I also think the guest vocalist is too good to be related to this album though.

I dont see how it is getting ratings of 4.5 and above though....

I've actually just recently jumped on the Architects' train, so I can't be considered a fanboy... (you're probably not talking to me, but I'm js)

I wouldn't call my self a fan boy, I just don't really care either way, I really like Sams vocals, and the guitar is pretty sharp still, it's just not as intense as it used to be. For better or worse they don't make that bad of a tune. So I duno it's all a matter of perception and reception, but personally I am not let down entirely because it's pretty good, I just know they as musicians can do a lot better.

and yes I realize how conflicted all of that is, but I can't express how i feel in mere words, it just feels like they were/are/will be confused.

Ofcourse I have ruin silly man.

I like Nightmares a little more than ruin..... ruin was a little too straight up for my liking, I am conflicted

and I prefer Hollow Crown over ruin for it's sheer catchiness. Even though their formula for song writing was weird.

Officially my rating for all 4 cds is as follow.

Nightmares>Hollow Crown>Ruin>The Here and Now.

edit:

fuck I made that and I already disagree with it. Ugh! At this point I have no god damn clue/idea.

I have all of their albums, and I'll give Ruin and Nightmares proper listens later. I happen to find Hollow Crown extremely well done, just as much as this one

That's what they've been doing since day one. It's all so random.

and Neurisis;

They're all way too different. Forgive me if I sound quite off the mark.

I'm open to scrutiny, it's how a person learns. but lol tells me nothing.

I'm open to scrutiny, it's how a person learns. but lol tells me nothing but what an insolent prick you are. There-fore you do nothing but detract from any conversation that could be kicked up by my comment. Just sayin'

if you read between the lines, then I'm obviously saying that you're wrong. Architects were never deathcore - a little research wouldn't hurt. oh yeah and one comment can totally destroy a whole conversation - not hard to ignore but you had to be butthurt. a sure sign you gotta go outside.

I'm outside a lot

and sorry there's not much to read between the L and the other L. What were they then? if I may know (for future arguments) friend.

because, for arguments sake I don't feel nightmares OR ruin quite fits 'metalcore'

Herm. fine I'll take down the comment I would just like to know where they stand out of curiosity's sake. I am not trying to cause fights I just want to know. and wikipedia told me nothing new. So I'm fresh out of ideas.
