Yeah he has a really, really versatile voice, doesn't he? "Division of Man" is really gravely and Thrice-esque, whilst "Oh, Charitable Thief" is delicate and beautiful. That falsetto of his is excellent.

Yeah he does.

Actually, the last couple of minutes of "Oh, Charitable Thief" might be my favourite part of the record.

Very good find. The long songs are the best ones here for me; they have that epic, post-rock feel. Does anyone know how to get this to scrobble properly on last.fm btw?

Mmm, the post-rock epics seem to be everyone's favourites.

Because they do it so damn well.

Makes me think of sleepmakeswaves + Dustin Kensrue.

I can hear that actually, haha. Reminds me a lot of Moving Mountains, except I think they do it better personally.

I'd bump it if I didn't think they'll completely demolish it with their next release. They recently put out a split 7" that I would love to hear but I don't think I'm ever going to find it on the internet and I think they're only selling it at shows.

This album is like a sprig of sweet mint in my unsweetened iced tea. And boy, oh boy does it hit the spot.

Man, I am sure you up a rating since it is this album we are talking about.

Well the second and fourth tracks are a little bit weak in comparison to the rest of the album, so that's why I don't think it's going to move off a excellent rating for me. It grew on me instantly when I first heard it and hasn't really moved either way.

God damn Ascension is good.
