Had to bump the rating up. This is a lot better than I remember. I've always liked it, but now it seems ever better.

I can't like this band no matter how hard i try. Random and boring melodies, drums sound poor and flat, and Hoest's vocals falls short of most BM vocalists.

Wth, Hoest is my favorite black metal vocalist. Who do you think sounds better?

Valfar, Emperor Magus Caligula, Nocturno Culto (old), Pest, Abbath, Dolk, Thebon, HansFyrste, Max Wilson, Garm, Ravn. I don't like Hoest because I can hear his "bergen" dialect wich ruins alot for me.

I assume you speak Norwegian Zyhaal? Interesting how you mention a dialect because typically accents disappear when someone sings or, in this case, screams.

Yes Norwegian is my primary language, and I live somehow close to Bergen (wich is where Taake is based) and it bothers me to hear that dialect in BM, and in music in general. And yeah, I never notice anything when Valfar sings in sognamål and Oslo based bands sing in "oslo-norwegian". There is just something about the bergen dialect that I don't like. I'll give them a couple more shots though, trying to figure out what the fuzz is all about.

I think the riffing is the primary attraction here, this guy can write some really sick riffs.

Yeah they've got some great riffs here and there, theres no doubt about that. That's what keeping me somewhat interested in the band.

Great B.M. album. Good production which is a change compared to a lot of old stuff out there though I know it typically

comes with the genre.

Thanks for the advice. Great work too based on what I've listened so far on the previous album: tracks I, II and III. I really

enjoy the "BOING!" in III. This is really unforeseen from a B. M. band I would say. The riffs are interesting, remind me some

of Immortal.
