Yeah, Amon Amarth has basically turned into George Winston for metalheads of our generation. No one's mad though.

Cotton can you tell me who this George is? I don't know him.

George Winston, new age pianist from the 80s. Made a small fortune selling covers of Christmas music on his album December. Got me into playing piano during my teens, thought I had discovered some no name inspirational genius...soon realized almost every adult I met had one or two of his albums around "for the holidays".

I usually only listen to vs the world threw deceiver of the gods. Their more "modern" sound. Didnt really bother with first 3 albums for years. This album is fucking nasty tho. Great stuff.

Indeed, Trifolium knows, imo, their most creative phase with a few great middle discog LPs.

Those first six are so lovely, what's your fave FR33? We must have gone over this before, but perhaps it's changed?

Haha! That's almost my ranking as well:

Versus, Oden & Norns in first place (4.5s);

Golden Hall & Crusher in second (4.0s);

Avenger & Twilight in third (3.5s).

Enjoy this set of records very much. In fact, perhaps it's going to be an Amarth day today as soon as obZen and The Somberlain are finished!
