I went through them all and most of them were crap. I kept Colosseum (obviously), 1000 Funerals, Comatose Vigil, and Fungoid Stream (despite the stupid name).

yeah, I was originally put off by Fungoid Stream, but it's an enticing album. You aren't missing out by deleting the rest, they were all forgettable. I reviewed one of them I think, Night Must Fall or something, was pretty bland.

does not really sound like funeral doom to me ears. (not that I know what is the precise classification) but i was thinking more of evoken... ahab type stuff... but yeah still some good stuff.. will rate it after a few more spins

Does anyone else just love the closing minutes of "5. Aesthetics of the Grotesque". That whole song is good, but the closing minutes are fucking awesome. Does anyone agree or am I just full of shit?

no this is funeral doom, albeit different. finnish funeral doom for the most part is like this, heavy on the synth and very fluid.

Agree full heartedly! Also the ambient part half way through 'Saturnine Vastness' is also breathtaking.
