But... they ARE pop punk... I'm so confused...
|
| |
They ARE pop punk with a bit of a metal influence towards the latter days. All Killer No Filler is pure pop punk to the core.

OK whatever. I don't THINK that Sum is Pop Punk. I just can't picture Blink or Good Charlotte playing these songs if you know what I mean.

makes no difference is an awsome song
|

makes no difference and summer were two of the best ones

OK album, Chuck was their best IMO and I heard the new one REALLY sux.
The thread above is pretty funny, I cant imagine anyone argueing that Sum and Green day were not pop-punk.

this is their best album hands down

dude, the trumpets are what make this album so great!! these guys cover metal/punk/rap and ska in one album - who else has ever done that......like no one.

Whether ‘Half Hour of Power’ is a long EP or a short LP, it is definitely an interesting & entertaining listen, where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. On their debut release, Sum 41 display their fun & carefree attitude, resulting in an inconsistent offering that ranges from raw to catchy in a heartbeat. Significantly, the band take in multiple genres with pop, punk, rock, metal, ska & even rap getting a look in. What is most striking is how instrumentally focused the release is, with some impressive drumming & metallic riffs especially standing out. Recommended Tracks: Makes No Difference, What I Believe, Summer & It's What We're All About.
