Dear Science is good but I rly don’t feel like returning to anything besides Family Tree on it these days

I never listen to DS either now, but that's because I burnt out on that album for binging on it like a madman(/boy) back in the day.
Agreed on Place in the Sun.

Overall really solid show on Saturday although it did feel like it took get a few songs to really get warmed up and sound like she was at her peak.
I think part of that was the mixing being a little off and her mic being too low for when the loud part would kick in but also I felt like she wasn't really doing much to project more during those big sections. She was hitting the notes but just seemed to be lacking energy.
Luckily it started picking up by the time she hit 16 Psyche and by The Culling she sounded in full form and she kept it up for the rest of the night.
The crowd was absolutely rapt for her, when she was playing They'll Clap When You're Gone, there wasn't a sound in the audience during the quiet parts which was impressive for the size of crowd/type of venue. All in all, really glad I got to see her finally

I realize it has the highest rated here but honestly compared to the rest of what I’ve heard from them, that record is a lot further away from the kinda shit I normally listen to.
I don’t listen to any funk so really please correct me if im wrong, but I get some funk vibes from that record?

Place In The Sun is just obtusely structured and doesn’t convey the emotion in its vocals that it wants to convey because it builds up to it from nothing and goes nowhere and it’s just not a strong melody in general

TVOTR were pretty damn massive in indie circles (contradiction alert!) for a good while back in the mid-late 00s, but I guess that was a long time ago now... ugh, shit I'm old moment!
And yeah idk about here

TV on the Radio were way bigger than Chelsea Wolfe ever was. The idea that she's the one who needs to give them more exposure is baffling.
