I know D: I never would have even listened to this a few years ago. I'm glad I've expanded my tastes though, there's too much amazing music out there to be a close-minded knob.

Honestly, I have no interest in jamming their earlier stuff. I know for a fact I don't really like house/dance music, and from the
bit I have heard, I couldn't be more indifferent. I'm content continuing to pretend this is the only DP album that exists.

Discovery will always be my favourite DP album unless they come out with something better in the future which I kinda doubt tbh. But this album is still really good and I think that the best way to approach it is not as another regular Daft Punk record, but rather to think of it as an album by various artists who are not only giving a breath of fresh air to mainstream music but paying homage to classic 70s/80s disco and rock music, providing a refreshing sense of nostalgia to the old listeners and giving something new yet classic to the kids of today. I think it's excellent when you think of it that way and this was the music of the time Thomas and Guy were growing up.

And this album would be my second fave, tied with Homework and then HAA is my least fave.
