Someone please enlighten me on how this is a good album.
Vocals suck, besides Jon Anderson in Prince Rupert Awakes.
Lyrics are on a whole new level of stupidity.
Cirkus is good, Bolero is all right, but Indoor Games is so dumb, and the rest of Lizard is just trash avant-garde with no meaning other than to be as complex as possible.
Even Fripp says he didn't like Lizard, so that tells you all you need to know about the album.

"Even Fripp says he didn't like Lizard"
that's wrong though
nice job on the aimless criticism that brings nothing new to the table though, proud of ya

Robert Fripp has himself been very critical of the album, calling it "unlistenable".[5]

Yeah, Fripp can't stand it... Actually, if he just said "Indoor Games and Happy Family are unlistenable", I would agree with him, but the t/t alone easily evens them out. That one is on a Gates of Delirium level of awesomeness.

He actually came around to enjoying parts of it when remastering it with Steven Wilson.
If he seriously still didn't like it, he wouldn't have bothered putting Cirkus and the first part of Lizard in the current incarnation's set list.
tl;dr wikipedia isn't a valid source

"If he seriously still didn't like it, he wouldn't have bothered putting Cirkus and the first part of Lizard in the current incarnation's set list."
Funny, because those are the only two things I said were good about the album.
"He actually came around to enjoying parts of it when remastering it with Steven Wilson."
If the parts you're describing were the two above, then I can see why he would. Enjoying anything else on that album would shock me.

If there's several tracks about this that you like, why 1 it? that makes no sense.

I really need to get on Wilson's remasters of these since it's hard to find places to hear this band's music.

"happy family is pretty shit yea"
that's my favorite on here tho :/
Fripp said in his diary on DGM that while there are some bad memories associated with the sessions for the album (which led him to pretty much hate the album for a while), he found himself enjoying it more while working on it with Wilson. He does prefer Islands over it.

I guess 1 is too harsh. I'd originally given it on the basis of Cirkus alone, but the first half of Lizard also merits another point. I've bumped it up to 2.

jake, giving an album 1 is hard. an album has to be truly shit to get a 1, and those belong to crunkcore bands

Awesome album, I love it from start to end...
Even thou I gotta say that "happy Family" and "Indoor Games" would probably be kinda annoying removed from the album context...

Album is absolutely bonkers (and I've heard bonkers!). "Happy Family" is a highlight
