just a bad boring album. Raven was way better.

And Luminol is prob best song on Raven, yeah. Other than that and The Watchmaker, I really don't care for/despise that album.

And sweet dig btw, Ocean!

The Raven That Refused to Sing was probably the only song off of Raven that I liked tbh
|
| |
Probably best BoC, man! Either that or Geogaddi. Popular opinion, I know, but whatevs.
|
| |
Title track on Raven doesn't do much for me. Mild, dull closing track imo.

I like MHTRTC better for some reason. Like I know Geogaddi's more accomplished and unique in a way but MHTRTC just has more of a timeless feeling to it... plus Roygbiv is the best song ever.
|
| |
MHTRTC is more cohesive, consistent and it is definitely "the Boards of Canada album", but Geogaddi is more bold, varied and it has my favorite Boards of Canada song ever (The Smallest Weird Number). Both are amazing records, really hard to pick between those two.

Geogaddi all the way.

i thought so too but i grew to love it hard, seeing the vid prob helped and listening in surround, its just incredible production

Maybe I'll give Raven another spin sometime in the future, if I find myself in the mood for some prog.

There are at least 10 better albums he has done
|
| |
Do the Opeth records he produced count as well?

actually, I'd put his last two solo albums in his top ten, if not top 5, because PT have many diamonds...

There are at least 4 No-Man albums better than this album, and most of the PT catalogue as well as the first two backfield albums
