I figure I have to listen to parallax 2 again soon, I only listened to it like once 2 years ago and I couldn't get onto it because that album is like 72 minutes long and I fell off after misdirect
while I'm on a kick though I guess I'll give it a go

Whaaaaaatttt Parallax 2 is fucking awesome, dude. Definitely my second favorite by them, but yeah it's obnoxiously long - especially if you're a crazy person like me and listen to the first Parallax before it.

I tried listening to the first parallax around the time it came out and I just couldn't get into it at all, by that point I was kind of sick of the long prog thing. it worked for colors and parts of misdirect (swim to the moon is still great even though it's 18 minutes long)
one thing I like about coma is that his harsh vocals finally sound like they have some variety. from colors - parallax 2 his harsh have sounded too monotone
also will do, gonna listen to parallax 2 now

That's fair, super extended prog albums can be really draining. I don't listen to that stuff as much as I used to for that very reason - I have a job now, I can't waste 40 minutes on one song in my dorm room anymore lol.

Btw if you didnt know theres kind of prequel thing to The Parallax, starts with Prequel to the Sequel(sets up characters), Fossil Genera(introduces night owls), Lost Perfection A.(first conversation between the 2 characters), Swim to the Moon(first real part of prospect 1 story)

haha I tried today and it was mostly a blur up until bloom and the song after it, and then I didn't listen to the rest. I promise I'll keep trying to listen to it though, as I've learned with BTBAM my opinions of their music changes with time lol. back when I first heard of them around colors I thought Alaska was the best thing since sliced bread then I came to find The Silent Circus to be my favorite by them and my opinion of Alaska went down
coma's been growing on me, I'll keep giving parallax a shot

weird as it may be, I've never been one to care for lyrics too much so they're usually like tertiary in what I look for lol but I will definitely check it out when I have the time. I used to listen to BTBAM all the fucking time but haven't in a while and still love em overall

haven't been able to make it thru parallax 2 once yet honestly but coma's growing on me more, I think if they cut out rapid calm the album would be the perfect length and they'd have all the songs that mattered

I think Rapid Calm warrants its place on the album, the end offers a great pay off, plus it gives some breathing room in between tracks
