That would be one incredible journey. Going chronologically is probably the way to go, see them evolve from folk-tinged BM to folk, to raw BM, to something trip-hoppy, through weird warm rock, through electronic soundscapey goodness, to more mainstream rock, through more orchestral stuff, through jam-heavy kraut-ish vibes, through synthpop.

For sure, the EPs are wonderful! Might be a little too much for a first discog spin though, given that there are 11 albums already (including ACTGLGGLSLSCCSPAPAPP, don't skip it DDD, it's under live albums but you should see it as a stand-alone effort).

EPs during your second go at their discog, which will totally happen because these guys are crazy good.

has it been discussed why ATGCLVLSSCAP is under live albums when the band doesn’t consider it to be a live album and they worked on it in the studio as well as taking the live tracks? it should be under the LPs section

I mean it is literally a live recording, but then again so is 50% of, say, Gamma Knife by Kayo Dot

Not really fussed about what the band considers it, but it's probably a worthwhile pointer to get over LP snobbery. EPs, Lives and Comps can be as important yo

That is very true! It was (extensively?) manipulated in the studio though, which stretches the boundaries of what live recordings can be in my opinion. They did stuff like adding instruments, remixing sessions, copy/pasting stuff, etc.
