RYM has the lowest average scores of any online database I've ever seen.

I don't know I definitely liked how personal this one was.

I mean all of The National's stuff was personal but sometimes they felt non-descript - like they were playing around with ideas of boredom and uneventful adult hood but in a way that echoed statements by a lot of lyricists(especially post punk ones). But this is just the perfect follow up to Boxer, I really can't stress enough how lovely their catalog is at seeming like a chronicle of life. "Little Faith", "Afraid of Everyone", "Lemon World", and "Vanderlyle Crybaby Geeks" really had me going. I definitely felt closer to the singer on this one, personally at least.
