' It begins at the album title: "oil of every pearl's un-insides". Oil of? I love. With you so far girl. Every Pearl's un? uhh. Every pearlsons? Insides is abundantly clear. Somehow, never mind the awkward l tripping the wordplay, we're supposed to be left with "I love every person's insides". As an act of wordplay it's convoluted, tenuous, ambitious and, worst of all, laboured. '

^ It is really great... don't think it has the consistency to be on that level, but definitely an outstanding release.
The tragedy of Sophie's death, besides the human level, was that she was so committed to innovation, and had she lived she may well have created a body of work of that calibre.

I believe this album fully achieved that caliber while telegraphing more to her potential. One of the best to do it had more to do. RIP

Yeah, I love this, but it would’ve been interesting to hear what she would be doing now - so much untapped potential I imagine. Certainly a tragic loss.
