well i mean it's not a bad song by any means but it's doesn't have the emotional value that songs such as everything is connected, an idea is a greater monument, or how to make love stay have.

how? it tells a very sad story with solemn horns and that banjo, man. an idea is a greater monument is a close second for me though

i do like how to make love stay. it's a love/hate relationship. if i'm not in the mood for it his vocals drive me nuts when he says stuff like 'grace the interstates,' but it is a pretty sad and enjoyable song overall

sorry to hear that, hogan =/ i know how terrible that feeling is

for me, the lyric that's most poignant on this album is "you are your father's son, and the same disease that holds you held him once". i think that's how it goes. very relatable

the last minute and a half of how to make love stay are one of the most emotionally driven moments in music that i've ever listened to

my favourite moment of how to make love stay is when everything slows down at like 2:10 and he sings 'every breath made you confess'. it's a nice pullback to the emotional side of the song imo

It's alright, haha I wouldn't have my account name if it wasn't for him. But how to make love stay is prob my second favorite.

Jesus, How To Make Love Stay is the perfect depressing emo ballad.

How to Make Love Stay is my favorite song no doubt agreed

The guitar outro of What Safe Means was the first bit of music that made me tear up. I wasn't even sad or anything my mind just came to the random conclusion that it was beautiful and I cried. It was in the middle of a drive on a highway lol

Few songs or records actually make me cry, but How To Make Love Stay and What Safe Means are two of those songs, and probably my favourites from this... with An Idea Is Greater Than A Movement, I Am A Snail And You Are A Pace I Cannot Match and It Happened Because You Left.

Just started listening to this. Good so far. However, that is the aboslute worst band name of all time.
