Possibly one of the worst records I've ever heard, but I do have some guilty pleasure songs on here...like two. One is of course, Reverie, because it's a fantastic instrumental outright, and the other is Cybernetic Strawflower...but only because I like the solo at the end...that's about it.



Reverie is special because it is devoid of the absolutely god-awful vocals that Garza and Azure lay onto them, and it allows the musicians, which I'm sorry you guys, but they are all actually /talented/, room to jam and put out a thoughtful instrumental that channels some post-rock with some jazzy themes. If they cut their hair, lost the makeup and changed their name to fit this playing style, they would be a much better band.

I used to dislike them due to their debut EP, but this album is great. Brilliant tempo changes with a very diverse sound. Cant see whats so awful about the vocalist, think its all pretty good. Everyone needs to stop jumping on the band wagon, songs like Reverie and Nevaeh show the true musician ship of this band.

Well... Behold! The Arctopus sounds orderly and organized when listened next to "surrounded by silence". Fuck, what a disgrace of a band. Too bad, because their song titles are cool and if done right their concepts could be amazing. And if they didn't look like ugly fucking emos crossed with bros
