Honestly, the music video for "Holy Smoke" justifies this album's existence.

100%. Was one of my earliest impressions of Maiden, too

Ummmm I am listening to this now (cause happy 30th anniversary) and it's better than I remembered...

Need to jam this again soon, don’t remember much of it except it being very average compared to their other stuff

it's low-tier by the standards of Bruce-era Maiden, but the bar's so high for Bruce-era Maiden that it's still a well above average album
biggest issues are that it's often hurt by being compared to prime Maiden, which it does fail to live up to, and that Bring Your Daughter is one of the worst Maiden songs ever written and was like the biggest thing anyone remembers from this other than maybe Holy Smoke

t/t specifically, it's better than I remembered, and I love Tailgunner for some reason.

Tailgunner is class
|

Yeah, it's a good opener, I don't know why it gets so much heat.

'Hooks in you' is my fave Maiden song of all time, followed closely by Holy Smoke.

holy smoke is a banger, didn't mean it's as bad as bring your daughter, just that it's probably the only thing remotely as remembered from this album as bring your daughter
t/t, fates warning, and mother russia are probably my top 3 from this
