I think the only thing holding me back from 4ing is that sometimes it feels like she's going for this intentionally dated sound which just doesn't ring """authentic""" to me but that could very easily be a me problem

100%. get what you mean about the palette, but feel they integrate their style into it enough that it doesn't bother me particularly (Sulky Baby and maybe Software Update are probably the only parts where the 90s feel a little dialled in, but it still sits well) - think GP just covered unflinching emotional extremes in a way this doesn't attempt to approach, and the rest follows from there
