Maybe not cusp, but Eternal Rains is definitely better than anything on this IMO

PC is so diverse and engaging, at least a 3.5 for me

Exactly what I was thinking, Heritage is better than PC, maybe not by far, but it still is.

Whoa dude Eternal Rains is awesome but Haxprocess, Nepenthe and Folklore are better imo. I don't know, there's something on PC that didn't click with me as much as on this. PC is still a solid 4 anyway

I probably like Eternal Rains the best because it's reminiscent of their older style and this prog rock phase really isn't clicking for me...

Eternal Rains is excellent, but personally I don't really find it reminiscent of their older style,

imo it's one of the most 70s prog-influenced ones here. I hear a strong Jethro Tull vibe, yet still

very Opeth-y on Eternal Rains. But maybe that's just me

Probably, but it's that acoustic guitar behind those layered vocals that makes everything sound just right again

I don't hear a Jethro Tull vibe in that song at all. There's some very strong ELP influences in there but not Tull.

I don't know, something always makes me think of JT when I listen to Eternal Rains. It's the organ at

the beginning and something in the middle part, it really makes me think of a darker Minstrel in the

Gallery. But like I said, that's probably just me. I've never really liked ELP, so I'm not very

familiar with their stuff, but yeah I do hear the influence.

Famine has those Tullish flute parts.

I like PC better than this, but I haven't heard some of the records that inspired Heritage... which probably makes a difference.

Haxprocess is best on here with Folklore a close 2nd and I Feel The Dark 3rd

Agreed, although Nepenthe and I Feel The Dark would be tied for the 3rd spot for me

Well, don't forget The Devil's Orchard. Maybe the 'god is dead' part is indeed a bit mediocre, the

rest though is excellent, with supreme guitar work.
