The first three tracks are the best of Atmospheric BM, the next three are just meh.

This album contaisna ll the key ingredients that make burzum so brilliant, but i do have issues with this album. One of them is the fact that the album could have done with a better producton (though that wasn't really Vikernes' fault anyway), the other the fact that this album is just too long for its own good...

Lol. I disagree though. I think Tomhet is fucking brilliant and the one on here absolutely puts me to sleep. There are some really similar sounds in both the tracks but they're put together way differently.



Tomhet has that awesome brooding vibe to it. It's always hinting at being uplifting but feels more like a sad person wanting to be happy than anything that's actually cheerful. That flute-like melody in the last third or so of it is just too cool.



The one on here sometimes touches on the atmosphere of Tomhet, but isn't near as powerful. It's cold and dark but it isn't dynamic at all and it just kind of meanders about for its duration, which wouldn't be such a terrible thing if it wasn't 25 goddamn minutes long.
