I mean I have a habit of nit picking music that I probably have developed through sput but its also taught me to be open for anything, as long as it jams

Yep 100% agreed avon dude and that is ironically where it goes wrong when it reaches the masses because a part of 'you' is diluted and it seems a bit less special but fucking hell the energy and wave of excitement let alone the influence and creativity that resonates was what it was all about.
On the flip side the bandwagon jumpers, complete dirge, fashionistas and media gubbins that was generated made it all a joke. There's never any balance.

Yeah man Sputnik can turn even the most tender soul into an elitist, but it's also showed me so many life changing jams

I didn't mean to insinuate that there was any news of them breaking up. Just thinking aloud. This band's guitar tones make me feel all sorts of fuzzy.

re: avon: a lot of people and even a lot of people on sput simply don't have that mind for music and have a hard time letting go and enjoying the soul grabbing groove that is pleasant music and instead simply hear it and therefore give awkward critiques
in my opinion

I'm a hoarder of feelings from my past dude which grow even more emotive in the present.
It's hard to let it go when the reality is 90s >

there's no doubt we attach ourselves to certain music/art/times/people/places in our past that bring us back to that time/those emotions when you listen/see them
nostalgia is real
we will have nostalgia for the present in the future, though, and should enjoy the present and new

Agreed hard if I knew what the fuck you were babbling on about :D

for me, 60s >
for a million reasons. Beatles, Brit Invasion in general. Dylan. Hendrix/the psychedelic era. Pet Sounds. Motown/Stax Volt/soul of the era and all the amazing singles. The Velvet Underground. Coltrane's quartet. Miles' 2nd quintet. Mingus on Impulse. better quality recordings. stereo. 8 tracks and overdubs. the massive rock bands of the 70s starting out.
i love modern music but no era can fuck with that decade for me.

Herman, this is one of the best reviews I've read around here man. Not only because i agree with you on almost all the points you've said, but also because your writing was so affluent that it was throwing descriptive expressions like a catapult.
Well done. Pos'd.
