Fully gave up aged about 28 but only really smoked a lot maybe 18-22.



Never really mixed with having a gf or a 9 to 5 for me

I quit for about a year but my anxiety went through the fucking roof. Don't smoke anywhere near the amount I used to in my teens/20s but still need it at points throughout the day to help me not wanna kill people lmao.

Makes sense bro. My wife was a heavy smoker also until about 3 years ago when it started having the reverse effect and giving her panic attacks. She hasn't touched it since.

I've never learned how to roll which has probably stopped me being doing too much of it, although I lived with my friend who had a weed vape for a few years so went through phases of doing it most evenings if we were just chilling. I do love it and if there's a joint being passed I'm always a part of it, but the appeal is dying down slightly in my early thirties and if I ever had a kid, someone who depended on me I probably wouldn't do it at all.

also, to chime in on this herb discussion, i'm a regular user but it can most certainly be over-done. maybe not addicting, definitely habitual to the addict, but i mean there are worse things out there. bottom line, not for everyone, crucial for some, and definitely beats the hell out of cigs or (my worst vice) booze

It took me up to about 32 to learn how to drink - and by that I mean still have a heavy night but not risk my behaviour going too crazy or not getting the memo the night is fucking over



Really tough to not cut down too much or go tee total but instead just recognise what place you’re in while drinking and modifying your habits in real time.



Saying that in my twenties I gave up booze twice for over 6 months.



I know a lot of people who quit totally but that’s not for me, some of my best moments of my life I’ve been drinking…and now I have the tools to make sure that’s not weighed down the other side by having my most harrowing moments when drunk :D
