Isnt the high point of this bands discog like their early mental health centric records? If so kinda weird they would be like "Nah fam we aint playing that now we where shit then. We know you want to our new stuff only, oh shh steph those sings didnt save your life our new shit did. Buy new record "

The intro song title makes me cringe hard.

Great review. Got a lot of love for Deceiver but literally everything else has been so lame

I feel like the last notable thing these guys ever did was working on that one League of Legends song

Any band with these whiny shit vocals (and there are tons of them) is just an automatic nope from me

Yeah same 99% of the time for me gyro

Does Telle say the n word on this album

Listened to Fade Away out of curiosity since TWA is allowing the original vocalist to feature on it. Was surprised to find that it might be the best thing ETF or TWA has released in years. Still not good though ...
Why did TWA decide to pull all the technicality out of their music and make it so bland after the first couple releases?

i have no idea why there seems to be a trend of "let's make our music less technical!" do bands just get tired of trying lol
|

I dont get it. Their guitars and drums both RIPPED back in the day.
Just checked and they have had both their guitarists (Zack Hansen and Tony Pizutti) on every release up until this one ... did they just stop caring? I dont get it.
Side note: Zack Hansen is now the only remaining original member of the band! (and sort of Telle if you only count official releases)

Need some more time before I come to a conclusion myself with this one, but I very much agree with the assessment of this album so far. I'd probably go 3.5 over 3, but it feels very much like a 'rule of contrast' because of how much better this sounds than their past two releases. "Nocturnal Future" is the most frustrating track on the record, because it has a dynamic, exciting first 30 seconds (sounds like something that would be on Deceiver/etc), and then just becomes more of the same.

First song was good. Second song was decent. All downhill from there.
I too am continually puzzled at how Tony and Zack just sort of gave up despite both being incredible guitarists. How on earth did they just settle for playing power chords on stage all night?

How long has Tony been gone I didn't even realize he left

No they’re both still the guitarists. Feather phrased that weirdly.
