I think this is significantly more dynamic and immersive than stochastic but to each their own

gotta agree with pho3nix, after the first couple of songs i felt like cbl are back on track but the second half and especially the last 3 songs completely killed that good impression. the low point has to be the cheesy rymden3000

oh shi new cbl swag
|
| |
cbl did everything id want from them in their first three so its hard for me to get excited for their new releases

Agreed, most of the stuff they did after followed similar formulas, but there are some great songs on each release since then too.

This is a really dreamy listen but I started to lose interest towards the end. Earlier on though, there's enough contrast as you say. I particularly like the one-two of Fauna then Nukleator.
Nice review!

Great review, summed the record up well. Just a nitpick, you referred to them as Danish when they're actually Swedish.

@NordicNorth - thanks for pointing out the mistake, I could've sworn I read before posting they were Danish.

Closer is excellent (very welcome Gidge vibes in those vocals), but otherwise I'm feeling a pretty hard first half peak for this. Good record though

The stretch from Seeker to Starfish is pretty stellar, in particular the one two of Nukleator and Fauna, but the second half is like a big drop for me except for the closer

this has some life to it but ultimately I wouldn't listen to it outside of background noise for work

Kind of the sad truth for this record in particular, check 'World of Sleepers' if you haven't already

World of Sleepers is great! The release prior to that one is good too. Those two albums plus Leaving Home from Solar Fields are the only psybient albums I can really get behind, unless you want to call Shpongle psybient but they really are their own thing

interloper owns too but they def drop off after that, even tho this is on the better end of their output since then
