hatebreed is prob the most iconic band in the scene, i like "satisfaction is the death of desire."
some other good ones:
cold as life - born to land hard
cornered - kickback
everything from sunami
need to dive more into the genre, tbh.

Ooooh! Thank ye! Very appreciated!

hatebreed's one where I'm okay with it bc it uses that attitude as a form of positive self-empowerment and Jamey's a sweetie backstage. But even there i'm just like this is not what I'd go for if I wanted empowerment.
then again i tend to go to stuff like saosin's "you're not alone" / early sleeping with sirens for that.

I keep saying I'm gonna review that one, and then I always forget for some reason. Crazy to think it still doesn't have a writeup in general

their worst
bottom of the darrel d-list ruffy gruffy copycat band nu metal that misses the point, but it came out 10 years before that market became oversaturated, so we can't call it nu metal and have to pretend it's classic because it's old

To quote the almighty sonictheplumber:
''Philip Anselmo had a mission. Glam was dead, it was time to single-handedly create the new breed of heavy metal; groove metal. Some say it was going on long before Pantera... I dare you to say that to Sir Philip Anselmo's face. He'd go down on you by delivering a superjoint ritual right to your ***ing lip.
This album is basically a collection of jams that all sound the same. Hard riffs, big dicks, sweaty chodes; A grandma's worst nightmare. Feel the beast. It rages on inside us all.
Inside.
Us.
All.
Philthy Philanthropist The Rock" Anselmo, or as I call him, Captain ***er, will beat your meat with his mighty vocals. He shrieks, grunts, screams, like your granddad straining out a turd after Thanksgiving feast. Shouldn't have ate that mac and cheese, you dirty son of a bitch. That's this album summed up. Mac and cheese at Thanksgiving, constipating you with its dirty power. Not for the faint of hard."
Amen
