They should have brought back the 1 or 2 minute long interlude tracks they used to do where they jam out on a breakdown over a cool riff. They could have flexed their synth wave aesthetic on a few to lead into the next track.

eh don't think that production would fit with this musical style, but it would be better than what they did now.

Sleep Token's last production would be killer here though

I dig this album— if anything I wish they would focus more on their Periphery-lite esque songs, I need more of that in my life. I love the synth work, it adds a fun extra layer to this album, and it kinda reminds me of the prior singles (Outrun, Members Only) which I absolutely loved.

Favorite songs off this are Artificial Dose, [re]connect, Red Fur, Disco Kill Party, Mother Pt. 4.

I say this as a fan of all of their albums. I got into them when the Common Man's Collapse first came out, and I've enjoyed all the albums since. I still remember trying to learn It's Not Safe To Swim Today on guitar, what a time that was.

Double post but the biggest let down for me on this album is just how dialed back Lucas's cleans were. They feel really uninspired and watered down compared to the last two releases. Reconnect had his best work on this one in terms of his singing. Disco Kill Party has a real killer hook too.

If they ever wrote good hooks, they're on Matriarch. The poppier elements on this album feel a bit more forced and generic than inspired, though they don't bother me much overall.

Uninspired album, but even that makes a fun Veil album. I dig the Drum and Bass energy in Disco Kill Party.
