I dived into the Sargasso Sea once again just for Ars! (and also maybe because I wanted to).
I’m satisfied with the results. The less frenetic percussion unsurprisingly works for them. It’s smoother if ever-so-slightly less unapologetic in its quirks (still quirky tho, of course). It’s perhaps even(?) easier to see the Stereolab likeness which certainly ain’t no bad thing of course. Maybe it deserves a bump because I’m a sucker for this sound tbh
I wonder what their post-Sargasso material is like…
