I have been following Pool Kids since 2020. This album took a couple of spins before I fell in love with it. The style on this album is a slight departure from the first one. From the vocals, to the overall production, and the pop melody leanings, it’s just grander. Nicolette had complex, yet complementary bass lines on the first album. Her talent and musical addition feels underutilized here. Otherwise, wonderful album and a terrific live band.

There were only two people on the first album. The singer played everything except the drums on that record. This is the first record as a full band.

Wow, this unexpectedly slaps although lyrically it gets a bit tiring lol. Musically these guys cover a large ground and do it all really well. Great review!
