Twenty Roses is a textbook example of the genre/vibe that my friends have appropriately dubbed "Yoyo-core"

Your friends call you Yoyo IRL? Interesting =D
I do love Twenty Roses though. Feels very Jimmy meets BN.

This album is fantastic. I’m grabbing it on vinyl

I probably would have purchased it on CD but it's just on vinyl and cassette, which I understand especially for smaller bands that may not have the most capital. Their red tour shirts are also amazing, but I might have to settle for the gray one.

this entire album is just a rehash of what well-established, mainstream emo/post hardcore acts of the aughts already did. a great tribute record, but little else

Offshore starts almost identically to The Hotelier's Goodness Pt. 2 and it threw me for a loop. granted it's a very simple drum pattern so it's not wholly original but still
really liking this so far, the mixture of Brand New worship with poppy hooks is really working for me. A Moment Trapped in Time felt so much like an Emery song that I could just feel their presence before they actually said a word
|
| |
yea this is tight

Somehow this Brand New Knock-off managed to avoid my radar for an entire month! Just halfway through the first track now.
For some reason this album is reminding me of Man Dancing. Remember how awesome that album was? RIP

Man Dancing is so good, I keep hoping I'll hear more from them
edit: oh what they broke up? ugh
