[deep breath]..... this album made me so annoyed and irritable.

Got through the first 4 tracks so far and can't see why someone would hate this. The bass is great, guitar is solid and it just sounds like RHCP doing a little victory lap. this is pleasant AF

"this album made me so annoyed and irritable."
That's the precise reason I am avoiding this record like the plague. I know its gonna piss me off, so I'm not even gonna waste my time with it.

What Feather said... This album is fun as hell. What is annoying and irritating are the people that constantly think they are going to make Californication Part 2. Move on already...

This album needs more songs about California while wearing dick socks

I was very excited to hear this album. Though it’s not bad, I found it mostly underwhelming. There’s some vintage Frusciante licks, and the rhythm section never disappoints, but overall it just doesn’t have nearly the magic of the ‘99-‘06 era.

RHCP been making long lenght albums since 91. Dont know why people complain about it. If you suffer from non-detected ADHD, its your problem, not the band.

This album is such a step down creatively from The Getaway. Josh K clearly catalyzed some interesting ideas among the band whereas with Frusciante they're just lazily retreading old ground.

Couldn’t decide if it was a 3 or 3.5, probably closer to a 3
Has some cool stuff on it, I really like here ever after, these are the ways, whatchu thinkin, let ‘em cry, the heavy wing and to a lesser extent one way traffic and poster child.
It’s all pretty fine, but also some of it whilst ok just lacks something. Probably needs another 1 or 2 standout tracks.
