I have no problem with the production at all. album is just fantastic.
edit: fully aware of the production problem after switching to headphones, fuzzy distortion

love how the album ends with "PUPTHEBAND Inc. is Filing for Bankruptcy" sarcastic, powerful, yet with a clear message. it is so good.

I feel like I won’t be replaying this to the same extent as the others. It’s still great, but it all feels so familiar. I do like the whole “board of directors” shtick that ties everything together. That’s definitely something new and fresh for them

The album is cool. 2 complaints: 1. The production on some of these tracks is ASS.
2. Skits need to be stopped. We need to secure a skit-less future for our children.

man i hate complaining about buried vocals bc i think it's a perfectly reasonable aesthetic choice that works for most bands but stefan's lyrics and storytelling are so crucial to the pup listening experience and i am STRAINING to hear him on some of these songs

The choruses especially are woefully blown out
Incredible songs tho

Maybe the bad sound quality is an April Fools joke, and they will release the proper audio tomorrow!

Yeah this production is super muddy. I definitely think it detracts from the album for me

Relentless is good

I would't mind the fuzzy production as much if there was more consistency in the mix across the album. Listening to Relentless right after Matilda is pretty jarring with how different the mixes are - Stefan's vocals are super buried in Relentless compared to Matilda. Despite that, still really enjoying the album.

Extremely familiar stuff but I am digging the soft sheen of weirdness they lacquered on here.

"the muddied production and more reserved stylings beset the record with a dithering sluggishness that’s hard to shake."
i normally would agree but for some reason the layer of fuzz just gives this record a new level of euphoric, blown-speaker joy to me
