I was gonna say I thought the mastering was kinda low, but reading the last page I guess I'll just shut up.

Rules, production and atmosphere is insane throughout. I get heavy Godflesh vibes from the industrial and wailing guitar bits

thanks for shouting this band out in the DsO thread, jac.

this is precisely the kind of palate cleanser i needed. the drum mix in particular reminds me of mid-career immolation; sharp, resonant snare and wet, thumpy kick drums.

The last track is a rager. One of the top songs of the year so far.

This has perhaps the most luscious production and atomsphere I've heard on a metal record in a long time. AOTY so far for me.

okay, i'm addicted. this scratches the ulcerate itch with a healthy helping of baring teeth/altarage/portal-type dark atmosphere. dissolve this in saline and inject it straight into my veins, if you please.

This is the album, right here.

Production is fantastic, agreed with whoever said that. Brilliantly fitting spiritual follow-up to Flourishing.

Whole last paragraph is spot on. This is an amazing 'extension' of where Florishing was going and I honestly thought they wouldn't able to top that.....might need to switch my ratings around????

Great write-up buddy!

There are times I floated the idea of a .5 bump, but with all the great, awesome music being released I feel I need to be cautious about over-rates.

Nope, not overated. Just better than 99% of the crap pouring out today.

Had a feeling this was Colin Marston’s work as soon as I heard the first track. It has that great organic drum sound that he seems to nail every time.
