The thing is, surely teenagers aren’t dumb enough to fall for this shit? And that’s coming from someone that worshipped Green Day and Blink as a kid.

You can almost hear the business meeting between suits just looking at the cover. And if he is legit, then what the fuck.

Have to admit I liked some songs from the previous one but now that novelty has worn off this whole album sounds like a too long joke. And the self aware bits are cringe as fuck.

I'm so confused by what this guy is trying to be. He's talked about extensively in hip-hop circles (not in a good way), but he's on this cover holding a guitar. Does he do rap-rock?

I don't know what was more cringeworthy? This review or the album?

If you want a cockroach to disappear, don't give it attention. Want someone like MGK to disappear? Don't give him attention. Half-baked satirical reviews gives him views and attention. A polarizing figure like MGK benefits greatly from bad news more so than good news. As long as people are talking trash about him, they are buying his records.

Didn't realize you needed a crew to write an article on an artist that makes listening to Poppy bearable? 🤣🤣🤣

I weirdly sorta enjoyed Tickets to My Downfall, and I actually like that he's leaned into the gruffer Tom Delonge brand of pop-punk. No part of me is delusional enough to think that is actually good music, but I don't think it's as awful as everyone else thinks and it could be a decent guilty pleasure jam depending on my mood.
